The medium is unpredictable. Working with it means releasing control and staying present as each piece moves between abstraction (flow) and focus (force).
I paint to get closer to something I can feel but can’t fully name — a quiet order beneath things, a sense of connection that runs through everything. When I’m with it, the work moves with authority, without correction.
Painting becomes a way of listening. Not inventing answers, but allowing something already there to come through.
